About Need for Seeds

What will we face along the way?

How are we tackling it?

California has long been renowned for its exquisite native plant life, and visitors from all over the world are drawn to the state by its lush, varied terrain, which allows them to immerse themselves in the beauty of the natural world. However, alien species have overtaken native plants in the stunning California landscape as a result of urbanization and ongoing deforestation, necessitating efforts to promote the planting of native species. As climate change persists, the entire planet is undergoing transformation. The expansion of industrialization appears to be placing a lower priority on nature. Critically endangered native species would benefit greatly from planting in our own state. It is our responsibility to restore native plant species as more and more go extinct. "89% of the non-native species were claimed to be invasive," according to the Cal IPC. (Rachman) The moment has come to take additional steps in the fight against climate change and the disappearance of plants that have long flourished on our soil.

By providing free seeds and creating a website with details on invasive species in California, our group hopes to help address the national issue of a scarcity of native plants. We gathered interested providers for our cause by contacting seed banks extensively and requesting their collaboration. We'll give you a QR code that opens to our helpful website. The website aims to educate the general public on the perils posed by invasive species and to heighten their understanding of the value of native California flora.  Through our efforts, we hope that the people in our community would support our cause with the same enthusiasm. Even though our plan is optimistic and could backfire, With this project, we wish to contribute to the development of a more environmentally conscious community.

There are many obstacles and challenges heading our way as we act to follow through with this project. Our greatest challenge will be finding willing members of our community who are enthusiastic to help us act upon our cause. Although we can attempt to gather cooperation, it is in the hands of the community members to follow through with our idea. Another challenge will be getting the financial support to open a server for our website, and everything else that will need to be paid for over the course of this campaign. These are things we will have to overcome to help better our community. In conclusion, the necessity for action and change is at an utmost high right now, and it falls upon us and other members of the community to better the world for generations to come.
